Comp Season
Competition season is fast approaching and its time to get those beers brewed and ready.
There are a few comps that are worthwhile entering, if not for a chance of a prize, just the judging feedback
is highly worth entering.
The main ones I recommend entering are;
Castle Hill Show (May have missed this year?)
NSW State Championship
ANAWBS
ANAWBS is in S.A. and is well worth entering.
This year it is on in September.
You can get medals and trophys if your beer is deemed good enough
and they have a special class for mash brewers only.
This year the Mash Paddle category is
BJCP style designation 15A. Weizen/Weissbier
That puts me out!

NSW State Championships is also a good one to enter.
Not sure when or where it will be held this year, as it is run by a different brew club each year.
Usually around September/October.
If you score a 1st,2nd or 3rd in your entered category you will qualify to enter into the National Championship.
As always, if you would like to enter any comp, you can drop your beers into Country Brewer at Toukley
and I will package and ship them off for free (excluding entry fees).
As news comes to light on comp dates, I will post here.

Re: Comp Season
I have been thinking about organising our own competition in the future.
Gosford regional show is on around this time of the year. Perhaps for next year we could approach the show committiee and have a homebrew competition where entries from around Australia are solicited?
Sponsors of Toukley Country Brewer, Six String, Ultimate home brew etc
It would be a bit of work getting it all organised, but worthwhile. We'd organise a big party afterwards to drink the extras...
