Re: Christmas case swap
Great day guys, Thanks again to Marc and his family for having us.
Everyone told me, but I got a bit drunk and now I can't remember - Which beers do I drink now-ish and which ones should I wait?
I know James his Hefe is ready to go, Marc is going to let us know about the carb level on his, and with my two, the Dunkel is ready to drink and the Tripel could probably be left for a while. What about everyone else? Do we need to wait for them to carb up or drink while the hops are fresh?
Flight Order...

Re: Christmas case swap
My Sincere appologies for having to show up and run.
I know where I would have preferred to be!
Hope it was a good day for you all.
My beer is ready to drink. It does have Lactose in it, so if anyone is lactose intolerant, avoid it.
Ian said you should leave his for another week or two before chilling.

Sama, I had your Koslch on the weekend - It was great! Really liked it and so did everyone that tried it. Clean and crisp, great for a hot day like yesterday. Nice work.

Re: Christmas case swap
tried a few beers over the week.
sama- great kolsch! that good youv'e inspired me to brew one this week. thanks mate
james- nice hefe went down great on one of the hot arvo's before chrissy.
josh- wasnt sure what to expect having never heard of let alone had a 60 shilling.
kind of reminded me of an english cask ale except carbonated.
think i liked it much more as it warmed up and the head dropped off.
chris- seems like your beer is hosting what seems to be an infection with white specks and oilyness on the surface. i dare not open it. any one else noticed this or have i managed to snatch a rogue bottle?
tried to attach a photo but isn't very clear.

Re: Christmas case swap
Another good word for your Kolsch Sama.
Beautiful beer mate, very easy to drink, just wish I had of chilled it a little more.
My bottle from Chris is also infected, I had a little sip, (wish I hadn't)
Very medicinal, metalic tasted like the smell of a hospital.
Havn't tried any others yet, will get some in the fridge.

Re: Christmas case swap
My APA is ready to enjoy. It's the one marked number 2.
Pete, I very much enjoyed your dunkel the other day. It was well balanced, clean and malty. A perfect Dunkel.
Also enjoyed Sama's famous Kolsch. Went down very well on a hot summer's day.

Re: Christmas case swap
guys get stuck into my farmhouse just bring a knife and fork . be warned theres a chance(1/3 so far) it could be a gusher so just be ready to pour.
drank pauls apa a few weeks ago lovely balanced apa. maybe slightly undercarbed.
now im looking forward to my own chinook hop harvest. was the beer wet or dry hopped?
also cracked chris porter tasted like the smell of a bandaid .down the sink it went.
i think you owe everyone a new uninfected beer mate.

Re: Christmas case swap
Cascade and Centennial were pellets. Columbus was dried flowers. 72 hour addition was done as a 5 min mini boil as I wasn't completely confident of my drying technique and wanted to kill off any nasties. Just boiled 4-5 mins then chucked into fermenter hot so as to preserve as much aroma as possible.
Sounds like farmhouse ale is the go for tonight. Looking forward to it.
Sorry Chris but I'm pretty sure your beer was infected. Actually did taste like band aid.
